Our Family

Mike and I met in college. We spent the first 10 years in British Columbia, Canada where we had our first 2 children, Amber and Braden. We loved our time there with wonderful family and friends. But we felt the need to move to the States and have been here the past 11 years where Tanner and Jordan were born. We love the small town we live in, the wonderful people that are here, and being closer to Danae's family. We enjoy spending time together working and playing.

A Trophy for Tanner

Tanner was happily suprised to win another Reflections Contest. This time it was at the council level, and he won for his age group (8-12) among 5 schools. We were very excited for him.

New Years

Amber and Travis came to visit after Christmas. Their gift to our family was a GPS device. They took us on our first Geo Cashing hunt. We anticipate many fun filled hours enjoying their gift. We also had a great time at touring temple square and enjoying the Christmas lights. For New Years Eve Tanner and Jordan enjoyed a party upstairs with Mom and Dad playing Apples to Apples and watching movies. Braden enjoyed a party downstairs with the local teens until a very early hour!

Snow, Snow, Snow

We have had ALOT of snow in the past couple of weeks. After Christmas we were invited to go sledding close to Mike's sister's home. It was a HUGE hill just perfect for sledding. Braden took a few snowboarding runs and Mike and Danae got brave and took the sled down together. But after a face full of snow they decided to leave it for the pros who seem to be unbothered by the cold.

Christmas activities

We have enjoyed many Christmas family fun moments over the past few weeks. We began the holidays with a Christmas FHE at Mike's brother's home, It included a talent show which Tanner and Jordan played a piano piece.

We also took a fun trip to Cabelas to show some Canadian cousins the animals.

Mike and the boys built an ice rink behind our home. The kids plus neighborhood friends have enjoyed skating.

Some of our family traditions are going out for breakfast on the 24th and opening p.j.s Christmas eve. We enjoyed lots of snow this year, and a nice 2 week break from school.
